Great news we just broke on the radio show

Our sincere congratulations to East Providence and the CME group for being awarded the bid to build a 3 meg site at the former landfill.  We know how hard they've both worked to make this a reality, and we can't wait to the array up and pumping energy.

Renewable Now first reported the story live at 1 p today as we interviewed Kevin Stacom, former PC and Celtic great, as he confirmed the award and talked about the project.  CME is a major player who has done projects around the world.  It is gratifying to see them do a project here.

The timing was great:  In our studio was Ken Payne, former head of energy in the State.  Ken was ecstatic on the news.  As he said, their hard work on Smith Hill to frame the right legislation is rewarded with this kind of economic and environmental development.

Co-incidentally, our next four shows are going to be shot in East Providence.  How is that for timing?  We can imagine that one of the stories we cover is going to put us at an old, ugly landfill about to become beautiful.

If you missed us today, make sure you tune next Weds, and each Weds, as we broadcast live, 12-1p, EST, from the studios of WARL 1320AM and on line on their stream.
