U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse & The Sustainable School Summit 2013 -

We covered this wonderful conference in Newport and you'll see our many reports on the main site.  It was good to see Senator Whitehouse there again, and we thought we'd share with you our news report this week that featured his interview with one of my co-host, Jim Murphy, Sustainability Director from Rhode Island College:

It is always a pleasure to see Senator Sheldon Whitehouse engaging not only his constituents, but also actively participating in education events such as the 2013 Sustainable School Summit.

What we found fascinating about Senator Whitehouse's address was his focus on the confusion that computer modeling brings to the debate of "Climate Change." He spoke about those of us living on the North East Coastline not having to go too far to see the change and it's effects of climate change first hand, and we didn't need a computer model to see what carbon pollution is doing to our oceans.

The irony of Senator Whithouse's address comes off the back of Super Typhoon Haiyan, one of the strongest storms in recorded history. We surely don't need a computer model to explain the devastation our friends in the Philippines are experiencing.

The Senator's emphasizes three points in his address, and they are available in the video.
