Renewable Energy Initiative

Paul Fournier is the Chairman of REI and Dennis McCarthy President introducing us to REI.
REI stands for Renewable Energy Initiative and the mission of this unique organization is to promote the growth of renewable energy and increase energy efficiency in the Northeast region of the United States, with links globally. REI is a non-profit company dedicated to forming personal relationships. Renewable Energy Initiative forms personal relationships through a fellowship team that brings trust and confidence in business dealings. It also holds many educational seminars and conferences to promote the expansion of alternative energy and energy efficiency. Renewable Energy Initiative was formed and collaborated during the early stages of the economic downtown of the recent recession, which crippled the nation and Southeastern New England.
Paul Fournier recognized that energy could be used as a tool to rebuild the region's economy and increase business competitiveness. In addition, establishing an industry around energy issues would grow jobs and strengthen the economy. A core group of like-minded individuals began meeting for lunch in 2008. By 2010 a formal organization with a set of bylaws and board of directors was formed.
